Our trip began in Santiago, Chile, a return visit to a city we like quite well. Then by motor coach and airplane to Valparaiso, Puerto Montt, Puerto Varas, Puerto Natales, Torres del Paine National Park, and Punta Arenas on the Straits of Magellan. One week was spent on the Skorpios III, a small Chilean expedition ship that cruised the fjords, ice fields and stunning scenery of Patagonia. We then flew to Buenos Aires, paid a visit to our favorite custom leather store, Silvia y Mario, and then flew on to Iguazu where we viewed the Falls from both the Argentinean and Brazilian sides.
