Costa Rica

February 2016

We traveled for two weeks on a land tour of Costa Rica – a small country with remarkably diverse geography and weather.  We experienced the hot and humid Pacific Coast and the cold, rainy and windy Poás and Arenal Volcano districts.  We enjoyed many chats with the friendly Ticos and experienced local culture at a farm and at a school.  We viewed wildlife along rivers, zip lined, toured a coffee estate, a pineapple finca, a cocao farm, went horseback riding, relaxed in geothermal pools, and ate simple, wholesome Costa Rican food.
