Paris and Normandy
October – November 2011
We spent the first few nights in a small hotel near the Eiffel Tower and then boarded the Viking Spirit for a week-long cruise along the Seine River from Paris to Rouen. From there we traveled by motor coach to Bayeux, Omaha Beach and the American Military Cemetery. We had visited many of these places when we lived in Germany forty years ago and during subsequent visits to France but it was delightful to renew our memories and enjoy the sights, sounds and flavors of Paris and Normandy.
